a $12,000 Major Gift donation in July, 2008 for a
new telephone system and a new security system. |
The
telephone appeal, held in November 2007, helped to
raise $9,500 through individual community contributions.

support at the Shelters of Saratoga. |

Galway
Middle School National Junior Honor Society students
held a Box-A-Thon and raised $2400. Students were
asked to stay in a box for four hours. Junior Honor
Society students became interested in helping after
visiting the homeless shelter last year.

The
Macerich Company, Wilton Mall, recently donated $1900 for
the 2007 Have A Heart for the Homeless project, providing
emergency housing for the homeless. Macerich also donated
$800 in funds collected through their entertainment book
sales and fountain "wish" change, which will be
used to upgrade computer equipment at the shelter.

Club of Saratoga County donated $650 in 2008 to help
cover emergency personal needs for women in the shelter. |
Charles
Wood Foundation made a grant of $2000 for the purchase
of healthy food in 2008. |
