Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation donated $500 for the Mobile Outreach Project.
City of Saratoga Springs donated 2 parcels of land adjacent to the shelter, valued at $26,000. Bank of America donated $2500 for affordable housing maintenance assistance.
Senator Bruno Member Item: SOS received a grant for 2008 major renovations at the homeless shelter.
Troy Savings Bank Foundation contributed $12,500 for new carpeting throughout the shelter, plus exterior doors.
Saratoga Rotary Club made a $12,000 Major Gift donation in July, 2008 for a new telephone system and a new security system.
The telephone appeal, held in November 2007, helped to raise $9,500 through individual community contributions. We are very thankful and appreciative of this community support.

Citizens Bank Foundation contributed $10,000 to the 2007 Homeless Bed Project, which will pay for a bed for homeless men and women.
Saratoga Gaming and Raceway Foundation donated $2000 to assist clients with gambling addiction recovery.
Pluta Family Foundation made a $4000 donation in December, 2007.
Target donated $1000 to assist with client transportation needs.
Hedbring Foundation made a $1000 donation in December, 2007.
Saratoga Hotel made a $4300 donation in December, 2007, from Breakfast with Santa event.
State Farm Insurance Company made a donation of $7500 for the Affordable Housing Program in 2008.
Stewarts Shops donated $2000 for general operating support.
Otto Shiffert donated a car valued at $2000 to be sold for operating support at the Shelters of Saratoga.
Stewarts Shops donated, through Holiday Match, $250 for the Sleep-A-Thon.

Galway Middle School National Junior Honor Society students held a Box-A-Thon and raised $2400. Students were asked to stay in a box for four hours. Junior Honor Society students became interested in helping after visiting the homeless shelter last year.

The Macerich Company, Wilton Mall, recently donated $1900 for the 2007 Have A Heart for the Homeless project, providing emergency housing for the homeless. Macerich also donated $800 in funds collected through their entertainment book sales and fountain "wish" change, which will be used to upgrade computer equipment at the shelter.

Soroptomist Club of Saratoga County donated $650 in 2008 to help cover emergency personal needs for women in the shelter. Charles Wood Foundation made a grant of $2000 for the purchase of healthy food in 2008.
